Behold

And the Captain said, “Let there be water!”, and lo, there was water where once there was none.  And it was good.  And there was much where it existed not.  And the Captain said, It is done and it is good”.    And the crew drew closer to him and said, “Oh Great Captain, your wisdom is abundant and your kindness is overwhelming.  You have bestowed upon the masses the gift of water, which maketh life OK.  Where once there was only salt you bring sweet tasting water.  You have brought the well to us.  You have given us life where there was but dust.  It is truly a miracle, you are high and mighty O bringer of water, praise thee, praise, praise!”

Yep, I finished the water maker yesterday and though the response from the crew wasn’t quite what I expected (see above).  I think they were just relieved that the cursing that was coming from the lower parts of the boat was at an end.  In the end I was forced to ask the guy that sold me the components to give me a hand.  He discovered a missing inner O ring on one of the end caps which had caused me to go crazy for a couple of days.  All is now good and we are cranking out 18 gallons per hour that is very pure.  I’ve got to admit that taking sea water and turning it into fresh water does make you feel like a bit like a god.  Perhaps tomorrow I’ll try to walk on it.

First and foremost…let me know how that walking on the water thing goes:-)

Knew that fresh water from salt water could be done…but had no idea it could be done at the level of a sail boat…18 gals an hour would take care of drinking water, cooking water and showers..assuming you have a way to heat the shower water…knowing you that will be no problem..lol..

Guessing your sea trials are close to being over and that you might soon be on the way for the trip of a life time…how cool is that?…especially since I get to come along in ciber space and enjoy it with you and your crew…wow..

Please stay in touch with those of us that want to “travel” along..

Till next time…safe travels, my friend..

    Gene
