Starting Over

Most of you know that we missed “weather window” to sail home.  Rather than sail through the southern hurricanes or suffer through another Baja California summer we decided to head home (see Broil at 350) to get a few things lined up.  Our plan was to buy a studio space in Maine and find a place to put the boat.  Mission accomplished!  We bought a studio in Florida and a good friend gave us a slip to use for the boat.  As you can tell, things don’t always go according to plan.  Maine remains a state that I’ve never seen.  Remember that I listed East Port, ME as the hailing port on my USCG documentation papers?  Due to that, The State of Maine, has decided to send me a tax bill for a boat that was purchased in Mexico and never been to Maine.  I think I’ll become a pirate.  Anyway, we are flying back to La Paz the first week of November to start the ball rolling again. We all miss the boat, home, and need to get this first voyage behind us.
